1st Class Bike Mechanic in Teignmouth

Post by menzies3032 »

Yes people it's our very own Billinom8s !!!!!!

So far Si has done
- A fork oil service on my 600
- Changed the chain and sprockets on my 600
- Stripped down the brake clippers, bled it all through and created the most solid brake leaver ever on both my 600 and recently my 1000 as well.
- Has set up my suspention on the 1000

All done over the last 12 months (brakes on the 1000 in the last 24 hours) and all very reasonably priced.

Thanks so much Si and to anybody on the forum looking for somebody to help you with your bike can I suggest you drop him a line before you got to a local garage (and need to get a new morgage to pay the bill).

Just had to big up Billinom8s again following a week or two of pain in the ass fault finding to try and resolve issues with seals going on my master cylinder on my 1000 followed by leaking brake fluid from bango bolts, mucking about with different master cylinders to try and make it work and even driving me about to help get the bike fixed when it could only be moved by other means. Obviously payment has been made for services rendered but there is no way any garage would have gone to this much effort or personal service.

Not only did he sort the brakes but also whilst at it we did some tweaks with the previous suspention set up and bike feeling a lot more planted once I was able to offer feed back as to what I wanted

So once again thanks Si :D ^:)^

Whilst we are on the subject a thank you to Ruffian for the loan of the equipment and the help when we descended on your place the other week. Top man thanks :ymapplause:

What is it you need doing Ian? If it mechanical/motor machining, do you know Scratch, Autoservice & Spares, on City Industrial Estate (Haven Banks)?

Terry and gina down there are great and have done lots of work for me before,
Was after some cnc bIllet work but as times are changing I think there going to be surplus to requirements now.

And Rob, glad your all sorted now, was quite impressive the state of the rubber seals out of your old master.

Have to join in...

One new set of chain and sprockets fitted. All great work. Bit upset with the lack of abuse though... did wonder if he was feeling alright. :D

Cheers. :-bd

Yes can't say anymore then whats already been said. Si has done liads of work for me over the past 10 years. He has recently just done a full service brakes, chain and sprockets, regased rear shock and set up suspension. On top of that he fitted my new fairings. I have a 2001 R1 which now feals like a brand new bike. And when Gareth (top sprayer on site) sprays my wheels and tank it will look like a new bike. Will post pics when done.

Big thanks to Si.

Would also like to throw my thanks and recommendation for Si here as well.

Si did a full service and check over when I bought my R6, including fork servicing and suspension set up, a full caliper rebuild front and rear, and usual oil and filter etc. He has also helped out when my master cylinder decided to eat itself and has been very patient sorting out the balance on my carbs and setting up a steering damper.

In short, the blokes great, does first class work and is always happy to help. As others have said, you just wouldn't get this level of service at a garage.

Also very useful if you want to know more about how things work and are a total novice like myself. Even Si might admit that I'm picking things up!

Thanks again Si! ^:)^
