Bike Friendly Pub - Bude

Post by yamazingr1 »

With fantastic roads leading to Bude and the lure of the seaside take a ride to the Crooklets Inn at Bude. Its at the North end of the town over looking the sea

Its literally 50yds from the beach serves great food, beer and of course soft drinks. There is a beer garden with plenty of seating which is raised up so you cn keep an eye on your pride and joy. If you wanted to make a weekend of it they also have good cheap rooms with parking right outside the window.

I dont know why more people dont go down as there is loads of parking outside and accross the road in two car parks

Talking to Gary the landlord and owner he said he was thinking about trying to organise regular monthly bike nights through the summer so it should be down to us to go there and offer our support. I suggested he did it on a weds which he said would be good as they have darts and pool on other nights.

I know of the pub being a local laddie, but never actually been to it. Sounds good though, might be worth a visit one evening to have a look around!

Wednesday nights conflict with Paignton though, but could be a good alternative, certainly for members in deepest Cornwall!

Cheers for the tip, we normally get as far as the Carriers Inn and that's it so it'll make a nice change to try somewhere different.
