Make your Busa comfortable

Post by Hayabusa »

Well, I'm 5' 11" and the stock Busa was a nightmare. Pegs to high. High centre of gravity. Bars too low. Seat too high. Not really a long tourer for me.

Fixed!

1. Helibars + 1 1/2"
2. Cut seat - 1"
3. Buell pegs - 2"

Now it works proper for me.

Maybe my age :)):

Comfy enough for 700 mile days!!

Did think about raising the bars with either some spacers or a plate but whilst the position is a bit stretched for touring, it's quite nice when hustling along.

Personally I'd prefer the seat a little higher as the seat/footrest distance could do with being a little more - surely 2" lower footrests kill any ground clearance?

Actually, my mistake; the pegs are 1.5" lower, not 2". The ground clearance doesn't bother me as I'm no dragger. You can tell by the original wearhairs on my back tyre - they're all intact except for top dead centre
