Forum rules
You are of course welcome along to any Southwestbikers rideout, however your bike must be in good mechanical order (we don’t want anything falling off of it including you), taxed and have a current MOT. You must have a valid motorcycle licence and current motor insurance. You are in charge of your motorcycle at all times and SWB will not accept any responsibility for actions you take or any accidents you may have. Always ride within your own capabilities and do not put others at risk. Remember, while you are on a Southwestbikers rideout you are representing the site and what it stands for.
Thank-you.

Don't forget......ANYONE can organise and run a rideout.

Show us what you got then.....

Post by Smiler »

Hi all..

I know its the middle of November and the weather is pretty dreary at best, but I was thinking we could use the gloomy months to gather some ideas for bimbles and spuddles for next year! :D

I want any suggestions of either places to go or fab roads that you know about that are maybe in your own area ~ it always seems to be the case that we only find out about these gems via others we know who also ride! These can be ideas of crackin roads, a decent cafe, a picturesque route...you get the idea?

So...c'mon now...its good to share

Smiler

Calm down Billi, posting up a fav road/route is fine - who's to say we/you dont use it for a Friendly Ride where the whole ride is done at National Speed limits 8)

We all have a few favs...West Bay, Chesil Beach Road, Torrington Common burger van, Minehead seafront....to name a few.....but it would be nice to seek out some new places, and this is where YOUR local knowledge comes in! :ymhug:

Zig Zag Hill B3081

A3030
Seven Bends A372
Anything twisty really
Will come up with some good locations too, trouble is not sure what gloomy months are? I used to ride all year round and after the thing in March I'm not putting the bike away just because weather is a bit cold and wet. Missed too many days off, not giving up now!
Think we can link up a few of these in one trip!

Ooh, so many to mention,

B3212 through dartmoor,
B3220 Down st Mary to Winkleigh - Torrington
A396 Hatherliegh to Torrington
A3072 Bickleigh to Crediton
B3232 Sticklepath to Torrington
B660 Glatton to Kimbolton
B3137 Meshaw to South Molton

Though the problem at this time of year and around march-april on these roads is all the tractor muck
