Yep A30 all the way to Salisbury with a pick-up point and fuel stop at Shaftesbury. Not a bad road at all the A 30. Only boring bit is between Crewkerne and Sherborne. The stretch from Shaftesbury to Wilton is one of my favourite fast evening rides in the summer.
From Salisbury ptolemyx's A36 route is the one to go for. I'll probably ride it again this weekend just to make sure I've got it nailed. In which case at Salisbury cut through by the race course just outside Wilton as if you're going to Odstock. Not worth slogging all round the ring road to get on the A36.

OK so here it goes,

Meeting point is fuel station oposite aldi honition for start point.
Meet up at 745 fueled up and ready for 8am leave.

This will be up the road then across to chard,
Chard to crewkerne.
Crewkerme to yeovil,
Yeovil to shaftsbury,

This will be the second pick up point.
Honiton to ivy cross should be circa 1hr 30mins so will meet aim for 930 for 945 leave.
Esso on ivy cross roundabout as stated above seems a sensible option.

Then from shaftsbury to sailsbury.
Down the a36, which is where I will need an opinion of someone further that way to pick up the reigns or guide me in.

That is a very valid point and will make much more sense.
Will alter the post above also,

That's the one so I will be in aldi car park once I have fuel just seems to make more sense as it's right on the A30 and easy to get to from where ever your coming from instead off travelling all up though Honiton to find tesco

Good point.

It will be run at google map pace, so sticking to speed limits as will be doing roads which I don't know overly well if at all.

I have not trial run it so will be a mystery tour lol.
If all else fails we have sat nav lol

I would like to stay as a group so would rather slow down and stay together.

Great ride to Loomies. The early start was worth it. Weather was cold but dry and the sun finally came out at West Bay. Thanks to Ruffian for organising and being joint leader with Farmer Matt. Thanks to Gee for being TEC. Final thanks to all those who came along and made it an enjoyable day out with lots of laughter and great riding. :-bd
