SHORT BREAK TO FRANCE 2016

Post by Tractorwackyracer »

Hi all I am thinking of (with a little help) organising a little trip to France next year, 2016. Possibly early September next year , a group of us did this a couple of years ago and it was a cracking break so I am just testing the water to see if there is any interest, some details are below :8o)):

Good choice Mark,
I'd never done anything like this before but it was top fun, even though I did it on an R1 with a knackered TPS. :)):

The couple that run the place are very friendly, the rooms are nice and the food is AMAZING !

There is a barn connected to the main building for all the Bikes plus it has a basic workshop too. In there they have a magic fridge that never empties of beer.

All roads from the b&b are fun to ride, there are port towns not too far away, a cool motor museum and not many police - apparently.

Mark any thoughts on how long the short break would be. Daft as it may sound my involvement will hinge on getting the ok from "DA FAMILY" and anything more the 2 nights is a defiant no.

What you thinking day 1 get there day 2 come home? Or use the hotel as the base and do excursion off into France for a few days?

Damn :-\ that's ruined it. I wanted to go to Fracne...never been there.

France looks great though as well. Maybe, just maybe.

No matter how many days, if anyone wanted to go back earlier than the others i dont think that would be a problem.

Wouldn't have been Last time either - I did have a shit start to it but actually enjoyed it come the end.

Was massively out of my comfort zone.

Love riding in France, empty roads and hot sunny days. We were in Verdun and rode up through Reims Champagne vineyards last year. Only touched the autoroutes to make better progress as was running out of time. Might be up for it.

Why wait so long? How about this year? If the dates suit, count me in :-)

Hi all if anyone or a group wants to go this year or earlier next it's not a problem I was only thinking of next year as this would give people time to plan and save
The trip last time was 4nights 5 days but if you only wanted to stay a couple of nights that's fine too very flexible there's no fixed itinerary if you wanted to do your own thing one day that's fine too :8o)):

Hi I am new here.

I could be keen, I was trying to organise a trip this year from late July until august 5th but none of my wholly unreliable and busy mates could get on board, sigh. I was looking at going through Belgium, Luxembourg, alps, Italy, Monaco, Montpellier, then for me down to Spain.. but I guess whatever anyone else wants to do from there. Not really used forums before but it can't hurt right! If all else fails I will be keen for a North Wales trip this summer. I ride a gsxr750, not a great touring bike I know but, I am young and fit...
