My mate has a T3 850 rides it every day without using lead substitute or any related work.
An ethonal stabiliser might be a better option if its only being used occasionally.

I've been trying to find out if this model has hardened valve seats, and even if it doesn't, whether it needs a lead substitute or not. I'll buy some anyway, but why would I need an ethanol stabiliser? Is it because it would evaporate if the bike isn't used regularly? And would that be a bad thing anyway?
I rode it into town today, and do you know what? Everyone loves an old Guzzi! I was waved to or nodded at by Harley riders, sports bike riders, Chelsea tractor drivers, pedestrians and a pizza delivery scooter rider! 8) :)):

How old are we talking here? Most bikes built since the late 70's/early 80's will be designed to run on unleaded. I had an early 80's Le Man's II, and can't recall worrying about finding leaded fuel? (Nor did I for my late 70's bevel drive Dukes ..... )

Registered March '94. California was unleaded from the '80s, but Italy? And Moto Guzzi couldn't make two bikes the same two days in a row. But this is my fourth Guzzi, so they must have done something right! And my wife agrees, she loves them.

The ethonal bonds to water moisture and forms a corrosive gel that sinks to the bottom of the tank. I keep my tank full and with carbs turn the fuel off and let them run dry. Seems to work for me!

Any Bike that the Missus likes and therefore allows you more bike time is a good bike.

Mine liked my Duke when we went to see it because it's single seat meaning she wouldn't have to come out on the back anymore.

The bike Guzzi should have made themselves - a road legal version of the MGS01. I didnt realise any Ghezzi-Brian's were brought into the UK! Looks a little clumsy in comparison to the MGS though......
