Bike Thefts Protest Ride - Bristol

Post by MellowYellow »

Several hundred bikes assembled in Dick Lovett's where a burger van and portaloos had been put in place.

This was after long consultations with the police and, in fact, had a police escort presence.

Loads of peeps taking vids and pics as we were led right through the worst areas, including the front door of known culprits.
Have you noticed that anyone going slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster is a maniac ?

Must of been like having a shopping trip come to their doors.

Should of stopped outside their houses and banged on the Door.

I don't want to come across as negative (or a knob)... but seriously, what will that ride actually achieve? :(

Are the Police going to do more, are they allowed to do more?

Don't get me wrong, I want something done about this problem as much as the next man.

480 of you should have been enough to string the little b'stards up from a lamp post if you know where they live.
