sidecar2

Post by suzukisaluki »

just wanted to share :D couple months ago i asked if anyone new how i go about getting into sidecar racing.

well thanks to Layne i managed to find my way to a sidecar forum, found contacts local to me and finally this weekend ive had my first track session on one!

absolutly the best thing i have ever done in my life!
my right side is purple and my legs are on fire but my face aches for all the smiling ive done. at 6;2ft im not exactly ideal for f2 units but by the end of today i had got much better at moving around the bike, got most my rights done pretty well and started to work on my lefts :D

It was all done at LLandow so i didnt need an ACU, i tried out alot of different units f2 and f1 old and new. everyone was so keen, and helpful! thought id get one ride i got LOTS! they even let my o/h who came for support (and to drive me home iff i broke myself!) drive one round the pit then let him take it out with a experienced passenger! 5 laps on a bik worth 6'000 when they had only met us the day before. madness. but he had a ball!

i am now utterly obsessed. cannot wait to get back on a unit to play again. so wnated to say thankyou to everyone who PMd me.

reccomend everyone tries it because its frikkin bokers fun :D

Glad you had a good time and it does get easier quite quickly.

Who was there?

Have you got any photos? (especially of the outfits – for me anyway)

Please keep us posted when you get out again too.

Use an external free web picture-hosting service like Photo-bucket, then link the photo's from there.

that old thing was the only one i didnt try. it spat two out the side (one girl twice-gets total points for effort!) so decided i was better finding my feet because that one you had no choice but to lean. i didnt speak to him much so i dunno what he used it for usually but a few of them do hill climbs :)

was a very very very fun weekend. i cannot wait for my next shot :)):
