Recommend a place in Weston Super Mare?

Post by Stampers »

Hi,

My poor CBF died rather suddenly today and I'm not sure which garage to pick never having had a problem before...

I'd be really grateful if anybody has any particular recommendations/places to avoid in Weston or maybe Bristol? The breakdown guy thinks it has "electrical issues" which is obviously a bit vague and I'd quite like to go somewhere they're unlikely to take advantage of the fact that I know nothing about mechanics! (Been there done that :x )

Thanks
Helen

I don't know anyone in your neck of the woods, but Rob is a top bloke and might be able to sort you out

Thank you both I'll look them up! It's a honda 250 (wish it was 1000!), everything was ok until I realised I was dropping speed and opening the throttle was getting no response. I pulled over, it slowed to nothing and then refused to start up again- a few tries of horrible choking sounds and now no response. Plenty of fuel, lights still working, engine not starting!

Sounds like a possible fuel pump issue though I'm not familiar with this model.

If you have the skills bypass the fuel pump and allow it to be gravity fed, at least that will rule the fuel pump in or out!
