Should I sell my bike....

Post by Oaf »

I've got a FZ6 with lots of mods - about £3K's worth - from the previous owner. It's a super bike, but my ageing frame is aching for something more comfortable.

Thing is, I brought it back from Greece with me, so it's currently on Greek plates. So my options are:
  • Get it UK registered, and sell it now
  • Get it UK registered in the new year, and sell it at the start of bike season
  • Just sell it now with Greek plates, and let the dealer worry about it
My worry is that by selling it now, at the end of the season, I'll not get as good a price for it.

What do you think?

Thanks :)

i wouldn't sell.
i would say though, it's not end of season yet, the 'better' weather is usually Sept these days, if you are going to sell it though, get it advertised now.

as for the reregistration, find out how much it is and include that info in the advert.

prsonally i would rip the mods off of it and sell them separately. It all goes in the fund for the next bike.

Thanks, in that case I might have a phone around some local dealers and see what they say, and get an idea what it's worth on ebay etc.

I'll probably leave getting the new one till next spring, but I'm thinking of something like a Triumph Explorer.
