Help with my 97 daytona t955i please,

Post by Baker497 »

Hi, I am currently putting my daytona back together ready for mot and for it to be road ready when I pass my test. I have got it fired up and it's running great, well that's all well and good until to go to give it a rev and let off the throttle and yet the revs still climb and I have to turn the bike off otherwise it's revving it's guts out. :-( can anyone point me in the right direction and if they have had this problem how did you cure it. All help really appreciated :-)

The bike is stationery, as I'm not riding it yet iv just been slowly getting it back together and when I can running the bike up to temp and then turning her off. But I gave her a little rev and it climbed so much in had to turn the bike off. Previous owner has put a power commander on it and I have also noticed the cam sensor is not plugged in and there is no plug for it I think they have cut it out the loom.

The 955i had a problem with the air system, down undebreath the throttle bodies there is a crank breather system, if any of them have a split or similar then will rev up.
