Pembrey General Information / Novice Info

Post by Alan PBRTD »

From our terms and conditions / general info :

The noise limit at Pembrey for Phil Bevan Trackdays is 105 DB.

You will be noise tested before going on circuit and there will be random tests during the day. The actual measurement of the noise is carried out by the Pembrey staff -we, as TDO's do not have any influence / control over this. They tell us who's passed and failed. The ACU ( and therefore their rule book ) do not have any juristicion at trackday events - we are under the control of the circuit.

Random noise tests are also carried out during the day - if it's found out that you have ''modified'' your machine thus producing more noise you will be asked to leave the circuit immediatley.

If your machine fails the noise test it is up to you to modify it and then get it retested.

If you have any concerns over the noise level of your machine - get a ''DB killer'' type device fitted before the event or fit the standard silencers.

Should your machine fail the noise test and you are unable to modify it enough to pass the test the machine will not be allowed on track.

There are no refunds offered to riders who fail this test.

Machines can not be tested before 9.00am therefore you are advised to carry out any modifications before you arrive at the circuit. We'd rather you be out on track rather than sat in the paddock.....

GENERAL CONDITIONS

Riders must have an appropriate DVLA drivers licence
with Full motorcycle entitlement and/or a current competition licence issued by the
M.S.A and/or A.C.U., and are of a minimum age of 18 years old. All riders will be
required to “sign on” and produce their relative driving licence. NO LICENCE =
NO TRACKDAY Signing on commences at 7.00am on the day of the event and
concludes at 8.30am. Late arrivals may be signed on at the next earliest convenient
time. Riders attending 2-day events will be required to sign on each day. Riders must
inform us of any medical conditions they may suffer from.
All participants will be given a detailed safety briefing (Riders Briefing) prior to being
allowed onto the circuit. This is a legal requirement. “New Comers” and “Novice”
riders will also be provided with an additional briefing. All riders will also be informed
of any additional arrangements / promotions regarding the event. Participants who
have signed on will be identified with a colored wristband, and their relative
motorcycle/s with group identifying numbered adhesive sticker (positioned in a
prominent location). An additional sticker will confirm their attendance of the “Riders
Briefing”. All participants must wear the appropriate clothing and safety wear. Onepiece
leather suits or zipped together 2 piece (360 degree) leather suits, appropriate
boots (NOT lace up) gloves and approved crash helmets are minimum standards.
Back Protectors are strongly advised.

BOOKINGS / CANCELLATIONS You may book the event via phone, letter or e
commerce. Your booking is confirmed either verbally or electronically. And likewise
when your booking is confirmed the rider agrees to these Terms and Conditions. All
fees due must be deemed “cleared funds” before the event, especially where group
bookings are concerned, unless by prior arrangement to PBTD. Company cheques
are NOT accepted. Refunds / cancellations are at the discretion of PBTD and may
be offered in the form of a refund or credit note for future event. Unless otherwise
agreed there are no refunds / credit notes 14 calendar days before the booked
event. We reserve the right to amend bookings / riders groups as we see fit, both
before and during the event.

IMPORTANT

Due to circumstances behond our control, as they say, we will not have any spares / tyre support on Friday / Saturday

Our regular supplier has been let down big style and is unable to make the event.

Phil's spent most of today trying to sort out a replacement but as of yet no luck.

We are trying to collect a limited supply of DB killers - but I know you won't need them as you've already sorted it - and desert spoons to change tyres.

DO NOT rely on us having DB killers available - get it sorted before you arrive.

Apologies

Alan
