Hi there, my boyfriend (who rides a fireblade is always saying the same thing) As far as i know there arent any trackdays anywhere near to Cornwall and i dont believe there is really any training centres that offer that kind of thing. He always says Calafornia superbike school is the one to go for, but its £300 and at Silverstone!
If you are interested in talking hanging off with him, he's really into all that and would probably love to chat!

I did a novice day at mallory this year with focused events, because i hadn't done a td for a year and was on a new bike, and i would deffo recomend it.There were loads of instructers,i had one for 2 sessions, and and the rest of the day he kept checking i was ok.
Mallory was a good track to learn on, bit of everything, but not to technical.
Give it a go :-bd

After 8 years away and only doing 350 miles,i wouldn't be worrying about getting your knee down. There ain't many that do it on the road, mainly because you just don't need to. You're still going to be rusty and need to get a good few more miles under your belt until start feeling at ease with yourself and your machine.
You'd probably be better off looking at your throttle control, braking, road positioning and your limit points and that should get you going through the bends a lot quicker and make you feel more confident. It amazes me the amount of people who have crap road positioning on a bike and hug kerbs on lefthanders and are out on the white line on right handers.
Could be worth get your bike set up properly for your weight aswell. Think theres some people on her who could point you in the right direction.

what kind of training are you looking for matey ? Are you looking to be a better road rider or a knee down hooligan like the rest of us haha

we can offer you advanced road riding training through the training school that will give you a DIAmond advanced riding qualification and maybe insurance discounts ? DIAmond is the only professional advanced qualification you can get and is different to a IAM/ROSPA qualification
http://www.averysmotorcycles.co.uk use code SWB10 for discount

as for training its gotta be hooligan style all they way lol could u mail me some info and prices!
Cheers all

Now you've aged a bit aswell, you've probably lost some of the bottle you had when you were 22. Theres a few things I wouldn't do now that I would of done (and did do) when i was young'un. :D

Hello there mate, definately have a chat with Deej about extra training ;)

If you fancy it come along to the Cornwall ride out on Sunday, from my experience I'v found that just riding with others of similar ability ( or greater than me usually he he he) really helps build confidence, I had a bit of a break from bikes for a while and when i came back i was rusty as all f""k, but being out with the guys off here for a few rides etc. really brought a lot back. So far its only me and tangoman so we can temper the pace to suit no worries.

Same goes for Falcon and your boyfriend, come along if you fancy it :D No pressure to ride above your ability, just go your own pace and we will wait and re group at sensible places on route if anyone gets left behind.
Cut me in half and I'v got Suzuki written right through me!
Ride GSXR 750 WR ( 1994) .
