Well that was brutal….. but accurate.
Makes me feel happy about spending wads of cash on protective clothing now.

That must be a pretty aggressive road though.
When I was 17 I did similar wearing just leather "fashion" boots (not protective) and jeans, and neither my boots or jeans wore through. Only injury was a cut knee from the impact on the road. It was a well used and smooth surfaced road though.

I watched it up the knee hit the deck and then stopped (made my guts turn). I would never be that stupid to not wear the right gear.

There's always a few 'free spirits' that are, and you'll no doubt start seeing them soon now the warm and dry (aka Jug-friendly :)): ) weather is here.

Thinking of wearing my flip flops and a vest top as it so warm out there. Might wear my gloves though, :)):

I did a couple of hundred miles on the road bike today, and after lunchtime it was nice to actually feel warm on the bike for the first time this year. Needless to say I saw a number of skin crayons while I was out - they always seem to be on sports bikes for some reason, perhaps the guy on the Blade has put a spell on it so it cannot be crashed... either that or he'd fitted his kevlar hands and elbows before leaving home....
