Any quicker, less labour intensive methods?
WD40 is ace at removing grease, gives the rims a bit of a shine and some protection to.

A while back I did a post on valeting bikes, I used to do it for a living. Here's the link :D

You need to use the wurth chain cleaner from time to time !

Shame the cans never seem to last very long.
That must be because your putting it on thick.

I used some Muc-off bike Degreaser the other day, surprised how well it worked. Just spray it on, leave it for a couple of minutes, agitate with a brush if required then rinse off. It's water soluble too, so doesn't matter if it gets on brakes or tyres.

I clean and lube my chain often, currently use Kal Gard as it was on special. No complaints yet.

I use virgin blood to lube my chain. If it's good enough for for a hymen, it's good enough for me...

Badger's from near Redruth - no such thing as a virgin there.

Chain Lube - PJ1 Blue (not the black) nice & thing to apply, little but often at the end of a ride. For those with no main-stand, just lean the bike over onto the side-stand & prop up with a length of 2x1 under the swinging arm near the wheel spindle - easy.
