And then you think about the guy who got 3 years for raping a 5 year old... whilst serving a community sentence for a similar crime.

Just caught this thread Gav.......sorry to hear about all the s h i t, you have been going through.

Another reason for false nunber plates. Find a similar SP1 in autotrader copy the plate and if you are pulled say you are Fred Blogs and just bought it. What is the fine for a false plate???

Probably quite a lot :) however you get points and a fine for a small number plate but only a fine for no number plate. Go figure.

Unlucky Gav or maybe it a good result !

I got pulled for doing 101.3 mph in a 70 with 8 others in 1996 and got 6 points and a £350 fine + costs and they even took my 3 points from 5 weeks earlier(80 in a 60 lol) into consideration !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We were happy with 101.3 as speeds were alot higher than that and I mean higher !

I was still running the bike in as it was only 5 days old lol !!!!!!!!!!!!

yep, this country has gone up the swanny. i got caught by mobile twat going onto a dual carriageway just outside bristol. he was parked off the road about 20 m from the national speed limit sign. unfortunnately i was accelerating towards the sign and got hit @69mph in a 40. 6 points and 350 quid fine. i've now invested in a speed camera warning thingy on a stalk that glows when the [Censored] are about.

Non standard numberplate now carries a fine of £60 and 3 points endorsement, not displaying any plate whatsoever carries no points at all. The law was changed late last year to act as a discouragement for people mis representing personal numberplates and running small plates to try and evade camera detection equipment.
