Brian, I'll meet you and the gang in the Devonshire Inn layby, the one with 'Max's Cabin' in it at the junction of the A303 and A30 (EX14 9NE) at 10.00 a.m. - weather permitting.
I won't make the New Years Day alternative date, no matter what the weather does.

That would mean reversing the loop of the route from clockwise to anticlockwise. No problem, though I doubt we'd be at Max's for 10.00. Might do it in summer  but in January more like 10.10

If you want to make Martock for brekky then anti-clockwise is deffo the best option, we'll be there by 11.00 a.m.
If you went clockwise we'd be hard pressed to make it for midday.

But if you want to do Phil, you could always post up your own ride on an alternative day.

Then Brian can suggest other plans to you. :-bd =))

I'm not changing it to the 1st. Ride will be on 8th. The loop reversed to pick up Phil the elder:-

Route is not written in stone and may well be modified on the day if the lesser roads are particularly dodgy and the A30 east of Yarcombe might be closed. I'll check for roadworks etc before the day.

Yes, count me in for the ride Brian. Will meet you at Wellington.

Looking at the future weather, it looks like it,s stormy. 10/11mm with lightening - Mmmm.

Maybe the forecast is wrong. :| :| Anyway I hope so.

Usual winter scenario. If the weather looks to be particularly foul I'll cancel. So peeps need to check here on the morning before setting out.
