Ah NO!

I spent my whole day sat in the car in jams trying to get in and out of Exeter, Tiverton and Taunton.

254 hours and 8 minutes until my retest

Not that I'm counting.

Watching Xaus was like watching a 5 year old cross the M5 without getting hit.
I was on the edge of my seat, thinking he is going to bin it any minute now. Him and Haga are mental but obviously Haga didn't show too much other when he waved his hand and highsided it
Twas a fab start to the season and them twins better watch thierselfs coming up front every race. Otherwise they will have to pile on the weight

Have to agree good racing (what was Haga doing in race 1!). But can definately the organisers bringing in more weight to the Ducatis.
Qatar has always been Ducatis bogey track and, after Ducatis filling something like 6 of the top 10 places in the second race, I can see other teams complaining. No one wants to see a return to the old "Ducati cup" days.
Phillip Island will be interesting as the wide open straights should suit the Jap bikes.

i thought it was fairly even, the dukes didnt run away with, especially seeing the way nieto rode in the 2nd race and his extra speed down the straights, the hondas were disappointing but the big let down was the yamahas as i expected more of haga and corser especially as they are contuining on from 07 without too many disruptions the other teams have had.

Man that thing flew down the straights like Stoner on his Duc did all last season
What was the out come of the 2 Yamahas in race 2. I mean thier reasons for NOT holding the fort after a great first half.
Was it tyres ??
Must of been. Haga just started going backwards
Ohhh and poor old Rea and Pit in Supersport. That was some highside and he buggered his finger. Pit was apparently just winded

Yeah, agree with all of that. But Nieto looked really ragged and out of shape near the end of the race whereas the Ducatis were still very tidy (maybe a riding style thing). And, as I said, it has been their bogey track.
I just think the extra weight could accelerate there tyre wear and even the field more.
Agree about the Hondas being dissapointing but Lavilla was on an 07 bike and Ten Kate have only had yheir bikes a few weeks and have said they wont be competative until about round 3. As far I can tell, Yamaha's problems were down to tyres.

tbh they all struggle with the tyres as the pirellis are nowhere near as good as michelins/dunlops imo.
yams were tyres but even bayliss was struggling with his rear and biaggi was out of shape forhim, xaus just doesnt care about tyres and rode the only way he knows lol

Well after watching Phillip Island today, I think they need to bring in the extra weight soon. I know alot of it is down to "the man" but all of the Ducatis seem a lot easier to handle on worn rubber.
The other good thing toady was seeing the Ten Kate bike up near the front on what is still a very under developed bike- bodes well for the rest of the season.
What has happened to Haga?? I know he was riding hurt but that doesn't usually bother him! I had him down as a favourite before the season started.

I still think they should leave the weight issue alone until the blades upto full development
other than they yam team all the top riders are on 1098's so thats also a big bonus

To be honest i don't know which way to go. Its any ones at the mo
Obvious Baylis prob has a mental advantage but Xaus is so bleedin eager and Biaggi he too has a lot to prove and deffo wants to score this season.
The Yams seem to be lacking something in the last part which must be tyres.
Suzuki's fast down straights, Yams quick but going sour, Hondas quick round the twistys. Duc's consistent, Kwaks ummmm somewhere but up there
Its got to be Baylis

He is going for gold and doesn't care what it takes
