West coast France - Int required

Post by carl »

I'm taking the bike to France for five days in a couple of weeks time and would be glad to hear from anyone who has travelled the west coast. I'm in Roscoff for a Monday morning and sail back Friday evening. Any int regarding the whole trip would be gladly received (decent roads, areas to avoid etc). Itinerary is not set in stone so if someone feels a certain area/road deserves a look please let me know.

Not set in stone means I have a ferry ticket and f*ck all else organised

Thats the best way to do it m8 quite a few years ago me and five m8s did the same you will always find b&b just stay of the main roads we used the back roads the conditions of there back roads are the same as our best roads  in top condition and fast and twisty, Obviously obey the speed limits before during and after a village  We did get a escort before during and after  once past of again  you will enjoy it take plenty of phots and mark your route for next time  Le Puy is a nice place to go

Come off the chunnel and head down the west coast mate some of the best roads you'll find. If you're just going over for a day go as far as dieppe and then have a drink on the harbour before heading back.
