Re: A clip from a typical continental ride out
That looks like glorious fun. I particularly enjoyed the fence tap on corner exit

Re: Phoenix Training
Ok good stuff here, thank you very much for all the advice.
I had come across the Yamaha school, but I’ll give it another look.
Cheers all!

Phoenix Training
Once I’ve recovered from the financial hit caused by getting the KTM back on the road, I’d like to start working on my off road skills. Phoenix Motorcycle Training has some green lane courses for 270£ a day, includes bike hire and all gear. This seems like pretty good value to me, but what do you th...

Re: Mixing tyre types a bad idea?
A big thank you to everyone for your input! Bike was bought privately, from a guy who worked at a Honda dealership. Which sounds dodgier reading it here than it did to me at the time. Sounds like the bike was sitting around for a few more years than I realised. I may be in the market for a parts bik...

Re: Mixing tyre types a bad idea?
I definitely don’t want to end up in a hedge. I suppose it makes sense to get everything sorted out first. But dang it. Definitely need another bike for times like this. Anyone has a cheap enduro for sale????

Re: Mixing tyre types a bad idea?
Thank you for your thoughts. Unless it’s (very) dangerous I will likely want to go ride around a bit before I get around to sorting out the seized calliper bolts.

Mixing tyre types a bad idea?
Turns out my calliper bolts on the front are fused to the forks. But Phil managed (with a lot of cursing I imagine) to get the back reshod with a Michelin Road 5. The Pirelli on the front still has some tread left, don’t know exactly what kind it is but it’s a sport tyre from 2017. Do you think it’s...

Suspension goodness
This board might need to be renamed Billinom8s fan club. Another very positive review for Simon's "1 and Done" suspension set up service. The bike is working so much better now, it would have taken me years to figure it out on my own, but he got it set up perfectly in one hit...no tweaks r...

Re: Breakfast bimble - Sunday 9th Feb'.
Me: Simon, how do I tell if my tires are too worn? Simon: There are these wear indicator thingys in the treads. Me: I don't see any wear indicators, or any tread for that matter. Simon: ... Gonna have to dip out of this one, as my rear tire is pretty much worn down to the metal. Phil is going to sor...
