We have a 53 reg Seat Toledo 1.9 TDi , which i would think has the same engine as your Golf.

Average tends to be about 45mpg, mainly town driving, so about the same as yours. I could probably improve on that if I left for work a bit earlier and wasn't in such a rush

I really dont understand where the feelings expressed in these sort of threads are coming from. What problems are Nick and Blimey on about ?
I just don't see it.

Just because we ride bikes doesn't mean we all get on and have to be best mates with each other. Just live and let live.

Re: What's your next bike? And are sports bikes less for the

Have you got a bike under 3 years old with decent space for a lock? How do you get on with pillions? And what is your dream bike? Mine is 2 years old, massive space under the seat and more under the tail piece, good seat for pillions and I've fitted pillion peg extenders so they are a bit lower tha...

A couple of events involving my old fizzy. Parked facing uphill on the main stand, I'm sat on it "sidesaddle" chatting with some mates when it lost balance and I went over backwards landing on top of the bike. Another time I rode off with the steering lock on. It was seperate to the...

I was in the group riding with Jase up to Paignton on Wednesday. I still find it hard to believe what happened and how such a normal. sunny, evening ride could turn into such a tragedy. As others have said, he was one of the good guys and taken from us far too soon. We can't begin to imagine what Jo...

I don't think there's any real problems with the site at the moment. I think it has become more based around the Exeter area than it used to be, not a bad thing, just the way I see it. With at least 3 sites based in Devon & Cornwall, things are bound to slow down compared to how it was when ther...

It's one of these

A mate of mine had one many years ago, and I borrowed it to take my test on.

The website where I got the pic from is all about a restoration project.

http://www.2e0gyo.co.uk/b120.htm

Should have lots of useful info there.
