Re: what helmet do you ride with.....
Just wondering if anyone else that has a HJC helmet has problems with rain dripping in the top of the visor? I have a Matt black HJC IS-16, brought it under duress from Bridge when I wanted a new one. It fits well but when I ride in the wet it's not up to scratch, i've had it less than a year so won...

Re: Where'd you get your tyres?
Just realised your in Newquay - not sure if there is one down your way. Busters are generally good but you tend to wait about 7 days or so for delivery - may be worth trawling the internet to find a bargin...

Re: Where'd you get your tyres?
I'd reccommend Pro-Tyre, you may pay a little extra but when I had my tyres fitted (Pirelli Diablos) but he service was second to none, my tyres were fitted while I waited and I was really pleased with their help and advice too.

Re: BP Petrol Garage!
If you guys want to use a friendly petrol station use the Shell Garage on the A38/A380 - we don't discriminate against bikers (i wouldn't allow it!) By gissons?? Yeah, that's it you can get a little free petrol..(probably totally illegal  but..) once you've filled up, put the filling hosepipe ...

Re: Do you do your own maintanance ?
Yep - as much as I can anyway. Love working away on my bike, the sense of achievement when you finish a job is like nothing else, i've also had a helping hand from Billinom8s and Dynamight which was very much appreciated. I'll have a go at most things whether mechanical or electrical, as i'm fascin...

Re: Outer Clutch Basket
I thought from your description it was the damper springs, I have split them before and had new rivets welded in after rebuilding them but it's a pain in the arse doing them. Usually there are 3 rivets which allow the outer ally part to move on the clutch gear against the springs, over time the spr...

Re: Outer Clutch Basket
I've checked the fingers on the basket and they don't seem to bad, still pretty smooth. The springs i'm concerned about are the one in the back of the outer basket inside a small cage, the 'damper' springs. There is a hell of a lot of movement in these and I think it's pretty knackered. Outer basket...

Re: Feckin' Insurance!!
Have you tried MCN Compare - the site is really good. Swinton Bikes did me a really good deal, I had insurance with them and when my renewel was due it was significantly more than the previous year, I rang them after getting quoted via MCN Compare for over £50.00 less than the price they quoted me. ...

Outer Clutch Basket
Hi all just wanted to get some advice before I go spending loads of money on parts. My bike developed a slight rattle about a month ago which has steadily gotten louder. This noise appeared to be coming from the clutch housing and as I had been having trouble with the clutch lever and gear selection...

Re: What is a real biker
Seeing this guy litter the site with his comments which lead to bad feeling amongst members and causes general offence is not amusing. At first I tried to keep an open mind about what he was saying but it really is beyond a joke, And yes I see his comment about 'changing the channel' but surely if h...

Re: ZXR400 Restrictors? :s
Have you thought about contacting Speed? They supply and fit restrictor kits. Having had a ZXR 400 to serve my restriction with I would advise to get it all done properly, it really isn't worth the risk if you get caught out. And if you are worried about power restriction, it's bearable.
