Re: Well Happy With Insurance Quotes Now I'm old (40)

I don't think age comes in to it too much, I'm 23 and paying £130 a year for my SV1000 with MCE. Sure it would be more if it were a GSXR1000 or similar but can't see the increase being too much!

Re: HNC Project Inspiration - Annoying Motorcycle Problems

Arghhhhh :( Oh well i guess i'll have to keep thinking then. Its more about how you write it all up anyway than what the actual project is, but i also have to somehow make what i design so it cant be too complicated. How about an anti-car device? A couple of cannons / hellfire missiles should do the...

HNC Project Inspiration - Annoying Motorcycle Problems

Hi everyone, You may remember that some time ago i posted on here talking about my BTEC Electronics project which involved a motorcycle airbag trigger system. Because this was a BTEC project i did not have to actually make anything, it was purely a design project. Because i am now moving on to do a ...

Re: Advice for a bike virgin!

One bike i would definatly look at is the Honda CB500. Dont be put off because its 'only' a 500, i hear they have plenty of poke for the capacity. Also, they do one with a half fairing that you can hide behind on the motorway. I think they deliver about 50bhp, which is plenty enough if you have just...

Re: how can i spice up my bike life

Why do you keep getting pulled? Cops pull over 125s/learner legals etc... When I went from a 125 to a 400....I got pulled about 3 times on that compared to about 20 on the 125. but anyways.... I too got bored when riding and sold my Fireblade to get a 400 again, best move I ever did. But whe...

Would you buy an airbag jacket?

Hi everyone, As a part of my electronics course at college i have to do a design project, and mine is for the trigger system on an airbag jacket. Most at the moment use a simple pullcord system where you pull it out, and the airbag goes off. I'm trying to design one with built in safety features. I'...

Re: how can i spice up my bike life

I felt like the way you are on my bike! I was not riding the bike to the full potential. Do a track day, they are good fun. Otherwise get some ohlins! I have test ridden a few 600cc il4 and found them a bit boring to my lower powered sv. Maybe you could try a v-twin! The firestorms are meant to be ...

Re: Just nearly got run off the road by a Gold Peugeot 206

Well i would have had his window down  and asked what his game his The thing was, he had a little girl on the passenger seat, so i didnt really want to go causing havoc. In a situation like that, always take down the registration number and report it to the Police. They may not, and probab...
