Re: Wed 24th Sep
It's ages since I last rode with you Brian so I think its time I ventured up from sunny Cornwall. No new tablets for me but I'll limit my breakfast tea intake and bring an emergency elastic band.

Re: Dolton Bike Fest - Sat 3rd May
Phil and Brian, saw you at Dolton just as you were riding out, sorry I didn't get to say hello. Great atmosphere at that event! Richard.

Re: Busa buying tips
Although I've only ridden 70 miles I found the bike reassuring in the bends, albeit with a delicate throttle for now. It's certainly giving me confidence to try pushing a little harder as I get used to it. For normal riding it's almost too stable, I needed to keep checking the speedo as I found the ...

Re: Busa buying tips
Thanks Steve, 7k miles believed genuine. However, I did a Bude run this week in the wet 'cos I had to try her out and she aint so shiny now. That's my weekend job sorted. Now Phil and Brian, you've seen me ride ... can you imagine me on a new Busa in the icy wet winter trying to keep up with you two...

Re: Busa buying tips
20241204 RHS.jpg The deed is done, I went for a Gen 2 in the end. I'm hoping I might be able to keep up now when the ride outs start again in spring! :D Thanks for your help and advice, it's always helpful to have some inside knowledge/reassurance when you've not owned a bike of that model before.

Re: Busa buying tips
Thanks Dave, I had the hot start issue with my current bike after I swapped to stick coils and it went away when I swapped back. It's very annoying so I'll look out for that.
I may get back in touch if I get the bike - I already have some mods in mind and would value your insights.

Re: Busa buying tips
Thanks Simon, as is the way I've now seen a very shiny Gen2. I'm sure the final decision will be determined by she who must be obeyed in discussion with the bank manager!

Busa buying tips
Just doing some homework before viewing a Gen 1 Busa - anyone with experience of buying/running one have any points to pay attention to beyond the usual? It is supposed to have a reasonably low mileage backed up by MoT history - not seen the paperwork yet but the MoT history page on the .gov website...

Stick (COP) coil conversion
After experiencing some power fluctuation issues I suspected the HT circuit had an intermittent fault and as I'd been looking at a stick coil (or coil on plug) conversion I thought I'd give it a go. Turns out the problem wasn't electrical but a fueling issue that's now sorted. However, I thought I'd...

Thanks for organising this Brian. I'll come up from Cornwall if we get a quorum (whatever that number is).
