need help please

I've had this nasty virus and had to reinstall windows (XP) since then it takes me ages to scroll down pages. Can anyone help me to get it to its former glory ? (in plain English please :wink: )

hmmm mine was slow then Doctor Dave helped me.

go to Tools on browser then >manage add ons >Enable or Disable Add ons.

Tick disable add ons.

This should be faster.

You might have to enable some in time e.g flash player etc.

Sounds like maybe the graphics card drivers are not installed. If you open say my computer, click and hold the top bar then drag it from one end to the other, is it still slow then?

it's a bit faster now but still does sort of a wavy thing... :cry:
Thanks for your offer Jay but that might be a bit complicated. Anyway hubby back from Afghanistan next Sunday, hope he'll fix it, not straight away though because we have a lot of catching up to do, but after having fixed a few things and mowed the lawn :D amongst other things !!!

hubby came back home one week earlier than planned without telling me !has now fixed the computer (hasn't mowed the lawn yet but will do this weekend). Anyway, thanks all for your tips and answers.
