Well got the replacement carbs this morning, so looks like she will be in bits again tomorrow :roll: :roll: :roll:

i thought it was just a float bowl drain screw that had snapped? why dont you leave the carbs on and just swap the float bowls over?

Because, for some reason, (which someone may hopefully know the answer) I can only stat her if she is always on Prime, rather that On or Reserve ??

So thought it may have been something to do with the carbs ???

Check the vacum hose (not the one on the hover) and breathers. Also check the fuel filter and filler cap.

In case anyone's interested, I'll have a pair of surplus 17" slicks at Llandow, medium compound (758 front, 3136 rear) that should fit any modern bike over 750cc, lots of life left in them, a tenner if you're interested...
