This will make you laugh
My Tiger is on 20k now, and time for a new shock at the rear, it has after all had a hard life. Got one off e-bay. Spent all day yesterday taking off and refitting (no manual). Turns out the replacement shock raised the rear height 3'', not the correct one. Could have lived with it, jacked back end looked really cool, trouble is it dropped the chain so much it was hitting the centre stand (remember those?). Today put the old one back on. Back to the drawing board.

take it to peak performance,if your bikes done 20k he'll make it feel like new if not better than new. my 916 was set up by steve and it handles amazingly better than a stock bike. my rear was sent to k tech and had ohlins internals on the front. valve clearances can wait as the suspension should be refreshed every 2 years along with brake fluids
http://www.averysmotorcycles.co.uk use code SWB10 for discount
Decent suspension is useless if the engine blows....unless you can peddle real fast.
I'd get it rebuilt, maybe pay a little extra and get it rebuilt better than OE. A standard rebuild back to OE condition is normally around £75-100. You do sometimes get bargains on Ebay though, I've seen brand new shocks for my SP1 sell for £70.

Has your bike got dogbones? If it has get some new ones designed for lowering your bike and that should get it back to normal height.greg wrote:My Tiger is on 20k now, and time for a new shock at the rear, it has after all had a hard life.
