ricky,if you want a high revving bike stretch your funds and try the new r6,revs to 17k no matter what the papers said only gets lively over 9krpm,howls like a banshee with the akrapovic megaphone thats fitted to it. also the only 600 with a slipper clucth as standard,great fun around donington on a cold novembers day

the cbr's a good bike too and probably better for you if you've managed to crash your car lol more managable power and does everything its supposed to and quite composed and is so confidence inspiring

Bah ZX6R's have those too, They had them in 2003 (Well only the 600cc not the 636) but the 636 got it in 2005 as standard.

He only has 3000 so I'm guessing a brand new R6 is out of the question, though they are awesome Bikes, my mate just bought one having past his test at the beginning of the month with the scorpion can he has on it, i think it is louder than mine.

I say get a big cruiser gay cruiser with a like name 'intruder' and stick a dildo to the seat, fun whenever then.

gav,forgot about the zx6rr, was pretty sure the cbr,gsxr and 675 didnt have them

hope not 21 but only paid £4k for a 06r6 funky, if you look hard enough you will find them, they dont hold their value like a cbr6rr but dont drop like a zx6 as yamaha/honda dont discount like kawasaki,well george white in particular.

I am after a bike with a different sort of power delivery akin to my old car. My old car revved to 8500rpm but that is arbitary. I just want a bike that has a high rev power band.

I do not street race. I crashed the car by understeering into a corner. I was with a few people and was going too quickly. I have learnt my lesson and drive sensibly now in the car.

I just wanted opinions. I quite like the sv but find the lower rev power band unsatisfing. I enjoy revving a bike to redline and keeping the revs there. On the sv, i ride around in the low revs and find the ride very lazy and less involved.

I will keep the sv for a little while but in the summer if a cbr600rr come up for sale locally i may get it! Since, many of the bikes are similar i will go for the honda.
