Just reviving this post as i saw there were some Battlefield 2 players on PC and its a game i play 3 nights a week and still can't get enough of, if anyone still plays it and fancies a game one night i'm up for it in a big way. I play with the UK-Coalition Clan and we have our own dedi box with BF2 vehicles and Infantry only and another server with Special forces and a COD 4 server now as well but i don't play COD4 yet, the headbobbing while your running makes me feel sick so i uninstalled it

LOL my tag is Tailshot and i usually play Tuesday,thursdy and Sunday nights from around 7ish depending on work. I can usually be found on these servers which are all UK-C servers or the last one which is a Pink Panthers IO server

Thing is MOH keeps crashing with a runtime error. It's put me of EA which is a shame cos when it doesn't crash it's a [Censored] good game. I'm gonna take it back and see if I can change it for COD4. Are PC World pretty good like that??

Seems MOH is ok now EA recon it did a dodgy save game, so deleted saved games (which ment I had to start again ) and has been fine since....touch wood. So keeping it. WIll definatly be getting COD 4 at some point though

Will watch out for you then its got me hooked for nearly 2 years now, i think its the game play that flows so well and you don't need a top notch PC to play it and get reasonable framrates, mind you i think i play too much just checked and i have over 1700 hours

Those are the IP's m8 indeed just click multiplayer then bottom left, connect to ip then away you go or type in UK in the server search and there is a list of servers with UK in the title and they are in there and it lists all the players so you would see my name in there with my UK-C tags on. There's definately a knack to it but if you have a good medic alongside you don't die too much, will look out for you. Do you have a mic as well as the in game voip is handy for talking

i did have a look on the uk sites the other day so i know where to look now
the problem i had was i was blasting away at people and they seemed to take one shot at me and i was dead
especially the snipers they were doing my head in literally

LOL m8 its a difficult time now on BF2, since COD 4 came out the numbers have dropped off to around 20,000 people a night so the ones left are the really keen (read good) and are match players the rest are made up of casual players or new players who have just found it at PC world now its dropped in price so they come in and get hammered as you found by the one shot kill merchants especially the snipers, so what you need m8 is to come on with someone who knows where the snipers hide and go hunting them down preferably with a knife it really tee's them off . pity about the mic though it makes talking a bit easier and spotting the bad guys easier but there is still the chat to use. i must admit i brought it cos my nephew's swear by it and i got the collection game for £25.
i haven't been able to unlock the euro booster bit yet u have to register it and then it unlocks but it's not playing ball or i've done it wrong.
how much r mic's anyway?

Some people have had problems with the full compellation game it gives you BF2,special forces,euro forces and another one i can't remember, people play these boosters for a bit then bin them and all the servers disappear leaving the vanilla BF2 and Special forces. If you got this one it should be patched to 1.41 i think the patch comes with this one and is installed automatically otherwise its a download of about 500mb and you have to have the same version as everyone else or you can't join any servers. yeah was a good laugh mate........getting the hang of it a bit more now.
remembering some of the buttons a bit more as well.
i still have a bit of a prob with hitting people.i get prone on the floor start popping away at them and seem to miss and then bang they take one shot and it's good night vienna.
suppose it takes practice but i can see why u get addicted.
if i get the chance i'll get a mic today and load up tonight about 7.30-8pm

I changed a few of the keys around to suit me, i use the Q for sprint as its next to the forward/backward keys but its a common key so you have to change it in land/helicopter/vehicles and aircraft and i bought a mouse with a button on the side which i have set to prone, there is a knack to it as you found some of them amaze me how fast they kill me but then sometimes it goes right and i do it as well. The best thing is to get in a squad as on your own few people seem to revive you but in a squad you nearly allways get revived. try the unlock weapons as well, the medic has 2 unlock weapons both accurate as hell, if you havent got them just hit the G key if someone dies and you swap kits with them and you get to try the unlocks and helps you decide which to go for when you get promoted. Will be on later then, try the pink panthers server as tuesdays i often go in there ip is 193.93.46.65:16567

As far as ping times go, the lower the better, 20 to 40 is good, but anything less than 75 is ok. Higher than 100, and you will start getting packet loss, (data loss), and begin to cause lag for other players.

So yours isnt too bad really at 50
