9am sounds fine to me at Mcdonalds, we should be able to make the Dartmouth part at least before the traffic gets up and about :)

have fun and don't forget your water proofs, its gonna be a wet n windy one this weekend :P

7am ? thats half the run gone already ! no point in going out for 'a blast' at anything past 8 as there are far too many old people, slow drivers etc on the rod, makes all those overtakes far more dangerous plus splits the pack up.

guzzers U DECIDE what time u want to meet and then post it.
i would prefer 7am my self but others might drop out but thats the risk u take.
one other thing is going that early there might not be anywhere open when we stop for a tea/coffee

as for knowing the route i'm just aiming at dartmouth and johnnyb knows the way i shall be going.

hope this helps

Don't mention that run m8, last time we went there it was non stop rain from Totnes and i couldnt see a bloody thing, i do remember coming round that bend though near the BP garage at the Dartmouth turnoff to find that small river running across the road, nearly shat myself

it's all character building mate.

thats when i still had the trumpet so the road should be dry by now

on another note the road between dartmouth and slapton would be better done as early as poss cos it's quite twisty and if u get stuck behind some traffic it's a nightmare and a waste of time.

If you guys are thinking of going along the Slapton line then keep it steady as there's been a piece in the local paper yesterday about some guys in cars racing along there & having near misses with other cars coming the other way resulting in complaints to the cops. So they're probably going to be watching that road for a while.
Besides that, it's blowing like hell here at the moment & looking at the forecast it's not going to get any better on Sunday :(

hi there,
woke up at 4.10am ish (i don't sleep much)
just checked the weather for 7am this morning we have heavy showers and 35mph winds.
think we can safely say that if we go out it will be a unenjoyable ride.
as much as i tried, practicality prevails resulting in canceling this rideout.
perhaps next week!
sorry to waste all your time, i did pick up my bike today and i dont think i have ever had that much fun before!
will have to do a rideout sometime soon
