The BBC report doesn't state whether it was fatal or not, is there a report elsewhere?

Re: Fatal Bike Accident, Hayle
Got to work today and found out that my mate was 2 cars behind the accident. He is in a mess mentally after what he saw. He will not be at work for some time as he is so distressed.
All I will say on the website is please be careful out there and realise that other people could be affected by our actions. I really feel for the family of the poor guy who died and the survivors of the accident.
FFS be careful on the roads!

Hey Guys. It is so important to be able to get help and download your feelings if you are unfortunate enough to witness a serious accident or injury.
I was in the fire service for ten years and unfortunately you see quite a lot but we were lucky in one respect you had the guys with you to talk it through. Do not bottle it up! I know time is a big healer but if you can talk it through I promise it helps.

Re: Fatal Bike Accident, Hayle
I can only reiterate the above. I've been a paramedic now for 26 years and over the years I have seen several colleagues retire from our service through post traumatic stress. The main reason for this was, people were far too manly to admit that something they had seen and done had affected them. The service eventually took this on board, as did ourselves and we do have a councelling service to use if needed and debriefs of incidents with the other emergency services. The main thing is, we have our colleagues, family and friends to talk things through and WE DO. So please all of you, talk to your family, friends or professionals if something that has happened affects you. IT WILL HELP! The worst thing you can do is bottle it up.Hey Guys. It is so important to be able to get help and download your feelings if you are unfortunate enough to witness a serious accident or injury.

I appreciate that accidents will continue to occur and a lot of the time it's down to other road users. But look after yourselves when out riding. Lets hope this is the last fatality thread we read on the site this year..
Get your bikes out. Have fun. Be safe......

I saw the picture on the front of the western morning news and couldn't work out what had happened. It's so sad that so many accidents seem to be happening in such a short space of time. RIP
