I think this is normal practice for any accident claim, it is designed to piss you off and make you walk away ;)

Speak to White Dalton, they are without doubt the best in the business. I've used them, and several of my mates have used them on my reccomendation. They've sorted out claims with both other insurers and the MIB in the case of an uninsured driver knocking a mate off. The solicitors appointed by your insureres will only be interested in settling the claim quickly, you are legally entitled to change solicitors and White Dalton are well versed in picking up where othere have not been affective. Once they get on the case the opponents insurers will realise that you mean business, usually the change to White Dalton elicits a far better response from the opponents insurers. They work on a no win no fee basis and any compensation you are awarded is 100% yours, their fees are paid by the opposition.
I would get on the blower to them on Monday, they are all bikers every one of them and all they do is settle motorcycle claims, and they do the job properly and fight for you, not just try to settle as quickly and cheaply as possible.

Sneaky fackers the lot of 'em.
It's all in the small print. Life is in the small print.

My old insurance company, got that set up but somehow suddenly found out I was signed up to a £25 K loan! F**k that! Its amazing, they can do almost anything they want when they have your signature.
Note to self: read small print in future.
