camping in southwest

hi we come down to cornwall quite frequently but this year want to camp,can anyone tell us of any good campsites in the penzance area.thanks,Ricci happy new year to you all,

Can't remember the name of it now, but there's a site we used to go to directly opposite the "Wreckers Inn" on the main Lands End road at Sennen, or we also stayed at another quite pleasant one at Praa Sands :D


There's a Tourist Information centre in Penzance, just beside the Railway station, that might be a good start :wink:

thanx probally going to be stopping off at bristol then couple of days in devon,then down to cornwall,coming back via dorset.last time took hours to find bike friendly sites. even with half a car or blackbird

Alternatively, a good day on the M1, M25, M20, see's you at Dover and a ferry ride from biking Nirvana ....... :wink: :lol: :lol:

pentewan holiday park near st austell is usually a good friendly site and allows campers and has a pretty safe and secure site

its near enough and more helpful than youve been :lol: :lol: :lol: and its a safe friendly site plus i couldnt remeber the names of the sites down in penzance way i used to deal with :wink: :oops: :oops:

thanx all can any1 say weather they have put any speed cameras on the bodmin bypass yet :?: as up everywher is just full of them plus the new stealth patrols,A6 has even got its own helicopter bike patrol,wonderful road now 40mph if you ever in yorks or cumbria if i can be of any help 8)

hello i live in the lizard, my mate has a camp site here, u can see penzance from here, across mountsbay. or there r plenty of free fields.

These are just a few that we've stayed in when down Cornwall way, we just used these as a base as we spent all the days on the bikes, depends what you are looking for in a campsite, these have no evening entertainment.....
