Spoke to a bloke today who lives just around the corner from scene of accident.
The biker was overtaking on double white lines on a twisty bit of road riding like twat.
He showed no remorce he ws even waving at the tv cameras at court.

Police have always focused on Motorcyclists. Thats the way its always been thats the way it always will be - Its not as bad now as it was ten years ago mind.
My other half was ranting and raving about this the other day, primarily because im also an Akrapovic wearing Gixxer rider and she aint overly keen on Motorcycles anyway.
Im pretty sure that the bike was a K3/k4 Gixxer thou.
You got all the normal Journalist bullshit about it being modified chucked in for good measure, but then you got to expect that - apparantly it could do 0-60 in nearly 4 secs......well the modification must have included restrictors then because a stocker will do it at a touch under three secs.
The car that it flipped over was a diahatsu fourtrack, you know one of those cheapy toy Jeeps.
So its easy to understand why the car rolled.
it wouldnt take much force at all to flip one of those over if it was side on when a bike hit or slid under it.
I dont care how fast people ride, I dont care how anti socailly people ride - to condemm that would be hypcritical of me.
but its our responsibility not to involve other road users - if you hit a jeep thats turning out of a junction because your riding like a nut then you deserve everything you get. I dont have much sympathy for him. Its a learner mistake to make anyway. I wonder if he was a born againer or just someone having an unfortunate moment of stupidity?

They definitely would! I am a modded car driver and I am taking my DAS bike test in Feb. I am a sensible driver who adheres to the speed limit 95% of the time and when I do exceed it (come on we all do) it's on the motorway and I may speed up to 85mph! OOh somebody stop me! Anyway the point is both biker (modded or otherwise) and modded car owners do have a bad rep with some people and it is not right and totally unfair, but there are people that give a bad name to anyone else driving a modded car or riding a bike cos people cant possibly get their head around the fact that eveybody is different,and we don't all twat about.
