Re: No Can?..
I have a spare UK spec CDI unit in my garage.. if you plugged that into an import surely that would give you full power?! maybe..

Re: No Can?..

Re: No Can?..
Unplug your CDI unit.. and plug mine in.. straight swap..
If you take off your seat.. and your CDI unit has a blue sticker.. then it will already be the UK version.. if its a red or yellow sticker then its the Jap Import one..
Have a check first..

Re: No Can?..
Johnny in newton got pulled over for having no can, he was nailed for it.
I think at the most they'll do you for no insurance as you have violated the terms and seize the bike and give you a fine. They might be able to give you a section59 for it or just a little telling off

Re: No Can?..
Tom if your clocks already read in mph then it will not need a converter fitting, it is only for Japanese domestic market vehicles. Check on the back of the clocks and the CDI unit, if there is a pink wire running between them then it will have the speed restrictor built into the speedo, if there's no pink wire then it will not need a converter fitting. A converter will cost you around £25 rather than £90 for an Mmax box.

Re: No Can?..
Check the back of your clocks to see if there's a pink from the speedo, if there is then you will need to run your bike flat out intop gear to see if it restricts at 112mph or 180kph and what your revs are at,if it does then do another run after disconnecting your speedo and see if it revs all the way out in top if it does then you probably have a speed restricted bike and will need to fit a converter onto your speedo ( a blue one not gold converter)
