Would you buy an airbag jacket?

Post by 46robbie46 »

Hi everyone,

As a part of my electronics course at college i have to do a design project, and mine is for the trigger system on an airbag jacket. Most at the moment use a simple pullcord system where you pull it out, and the airbag goes off. I'm trying to design one with built in safety features.

I've got to do some research on the subject and thought you lot may be able to help me

Anyway, check out this link...

Would you be prepared to spend your own cash on that jacket, or one costing a similar amount of money?

Thanks in advance

Think it's a great idea but can't justify the price - Would rather get a top quality 1 or 2 piece for that money.

If it works as it should, is priced sensibly and offers more protection then yes.

Cant see that happening in a long time though.

NO! too expensive, stupid trigger system ( a cord attached to the bike which will trigger as soon as you forget it and jump off to get fuel) and no doubt it will cost far to much to recharge it.

All in all any airbags are in my opinion a stupid idea,

I have to agree with Blue on this one.

Way way to exspensive, and also alot of the time when you crash or fall the bike over your still on it, so the air bags woundnt even go off.
