hey guys im looking at buying a new frame , but the one im looking at is a stolen /recoverd job , the bloke who had it obviolsey reported it nicked insurance payed out then bike was found and sold onto a breaker it still has frame number would i deffo be able to apply for a new v5 for it or would it now use less do ya think lol ,

Does the breaker have the V5 ? if not is the reg number known? I think the DVLA will hold the V5 pending the bike being rebuilt and then require an inspection by them before reissuing the V5 and reg number, the inspection is not stiff though just to make sure it is what you say it is, best bet is too phone them and find out for sure

It depends on what happened to it while it was in the hands of the pilfs.

If it was burnt then exposure to extreme heat could have weakened the frame, whereas if it was crashed then it could have possible cracks or hairline fractures.

I personally would stay away and wait for the safer option, or at the very least (if it is cheap) you could buy it and get it checked out before you try and use it.

Depends if it was written off or not. Get as much history as you can, and just be aware ANYTHING could be wrong with it, engine could be utterly shagged etc.... So budget for it!

Nice one huys ive deiced to stay away frot it im looking at another frame now its says it has not title im guessing this means reg but has frame number says it was used as trackbike ?? , very cheapo as well ?? what ya reckon take the plunge ??
