I've been riding it for years and never been stopped, and only ever seen 3 police cars in total!

Might be up for this 8)

As you're local to the road I'll bow to your local knowledge  :)
However over the years I've also ridden the route regularly & have seen several speed traps in Polbathic & it does crop up regularly on the news when D & C plod & the D & C safety camera muggers are having one of their revenue raising exercises
e.g.
http://www.dcsafetycameras.org/news/new ... 91008.aspx
Which was the reason for my post/advise.....fore warned is fore armed as they say  :)

Seen a marked car on it yesterday afternoon with the blues & two's on......going the other way fortunately for me

On a similar note, I was up at Great Torrington yesterday around midday/1pm when a cop on a black Blade pulled in & started chatting to some of the bikers there. To be fair it's got some dayglow 'battenburg' stripes on the front & sides & the cop was wearing a dayglow jacket, so it shouldn't be too hard to spot.

Is very simple really, dont ride it on the weekends, ever. I cannot remember the last time (if ever) I went down there on a Sunday morning.

Goes for everywhere though really lol

I've ridden that route a few times, more out of curiosity than anything else because I heard so many people rave about it.

All I can say is, if you find it challenging, you really need to get out more.

Me, you, race. If its not challenging for you then you'll piss it. Whereas I find it challenging every time.

Nope, I find it quite a relaxing road to ride quickly on.
Bends are mostly mild sweepers.
Nice road yes, I agree, but not challenging.
A half decent rider could do it quickly without so much as a tickle on the brakes.
If you think it's challenging, you wouldn't last long riding some of the Alpine roads in Europe.

Living in liskeard the twisties are local to me as well, I have ridden them a fair few times but never been out just to ride them, always ridden them as part of getting to or home from plymouth.

There are far better more demanding roads that are less publisised than the twisties in and around my area.

Race then? Cmon big boy, put your money where your big fat foul mouthed gob is.

Oh I've ridden the Pyrenees and the Alps and survived perfectly fine
