Poor road surface warning - sticky?

Post by Mike Hayward »

I drive all over the south west for my job and i figured I should warn people of a bad road i know of so following on from the other thread about a bad road i.e pot holes I thought i should mention the

A386 Hatherleigh to Bideford Rd

There are warning signs all over it for "bumps in road" but more like sodding great big holes right in the middle of nice sweeping bends

i am beginning to think it is some kind of experimental money saving/ traffic calming exercise, If they do not repair the roads no body will be able to drive over 30 mph eventually , everyone will stay of the roads, all the accident statistics will go down, and the powers that be will claim a major victory for road safety, like the decreasing crime rate, police do nothing about break ins etc , people do not bother to report things so much

i have noticed this all over the south west, i think its due to all the snow/ice we have had lately.....its were the water is getting into/under the road surface then freezes off course it expands and that's what's causing all these pot holes! the amount off times i've nearly came off from them is unbelievable so now im allways looking for them , bout time they started repairing the roads tho to be honest!! thas why we pay are road tax!!!!
