Samir's first bit of knee-down action..

Post by Milky »

...shortly followed by elbow..shoulder..bank..bush...

B road between Bampton and South Molten this afternoon. Drain cover sticking out in the middle of the road, nearly took me off so I then looked back to watch Sam launch himself through the air and then wrap his newly repaired ZXR round a tree. ..A biker on a KTM SM was killed by a drain cover sticking up outta the road surface last year on that exact road along with a few other accidents and the council haven't done anything about it. How many will it take? Anyway..Sam's fine. Infact, not a scratch on him (The crazy f*ck nugget!  )..although the shiney new ZXR aint too healthy. It's currently left at the house where he came off waiting to be collected as we gave up waiting for the AA after 4 hours of waiting. If anyone wants to collect it and bring it to Exeter for him the postcode is EX363PT?

The pics will follow shortly..

Take plenty of photo's and sue the council .....

Yeh we got photo's of everything possible for exactly that.. but the thing is.. a biker pulled over to help us get it out of the hedge and whatever who told us about the guy killed over the same thing and that the council will never do anything to the drains or anything as they're then sort of admitting liability to the deaths that they've possibly caused and the other crashes etc? :? But worth a shot deffo.

And for once it was purely the state of the road that caused this. Not just riding like an utter tw@ or anything and trying to point the finger at the council or whoever possible

A phone-call to a decent bike-orientated solicitor like White-Dalton wouldn't go amiss .......

Good man, let me know what they say! Oh and I'm a witness by the way! Along with the nut case who's looking after the bike!

well gave them a call, they couldn't do anything about it cos they only do the claim if somebody was injured or third party damages. but they advised me to go to a small claims court. ill need help with that one! :|
