Does anyone know if balhdu is open in the weekdays? I've only ever been down there on weekends and read somewhere that they are but wonted to double check before we go down on monday.

There is normally a mobile number on the pole at the entrance for payment/permission, think it does say something about weekends.

If I'm passing anytime, will try & get the details for you (passed there twice yesterday!!).

Swung by this morning,

contact number: 07789253480

Are OK for mid-week but ring first for keys & directions to the farmhouse/yard.

Moose - plenty of room for 4x4 - Landrover trials run there in the past.

Not now, I think it's been sold & converted to house/mansion.

Mind you, at the scramble track there is the remains of an old monastry and a 8 second+ mine shaft!!!

Wouldn't like to own that house then! The church was allegedly built facing the wrong way for black arts and devil worshipping so maybe thats the monastry remains? Never actually been up there just been told about it by various Goth type mates  !!
