Which Fairing...

Post by Funky »

After my off I'm looking at new fairing, so here are my choices so far...

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWAX:IT

Keeping it standard yellow

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWAX:IT

Haslam Race Replica

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWAX:IT

Rossi Race Replica

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWAX:IT

Cheaper option

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWAX:IT

As above but black

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWAX:IT

All black

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWAX:IT

West Race Rep

Or alternatively I#ve been thinking about getting De Puniet's playboy scheme.

do you plan on keeping it afterwards mate

if so i'd avoid any of the non suzuki race rep schemes as it makes it harder to sell on

personally if i had a gsxr it would be a lucky strike rep all the way

if you want a retro look have a look at the old skool skoal bandit scheme

It should be in keeping with an actual scheme for the era and bike, so probably the Haslam rep, failing that standard Yellow/Black or just all black. FIAT Yamaha would look silly imo

Get a Sheene replica, in red, black, yellow, or the Heron Suzuki blue and white. Don't fer fugs sake go with a non Suzuki paint job it makes ya look like a complete knob. I hate seeing Rossi schemes on bikes that are wrong, and if you go for De Puniet you'll likely end up back on yer arss again.

'm not keen on the corona look as I dont like the paint scheme.

I would love to have a sheene rep and have just found a company that may be able to do it for me....

I was going to say i quite like the Black Corona rep, just a bit different to the norm, but then again If you can get a sheen rep that would get my vote :D !

I'm doing a Pepsi job on my GSXR7/11, but then it's from 1989 and that's the GP colours back then. Like the white Corrona colours, trying to talk a friend into stickering up his white 600K8. Suzuki reps only, but standard is better to sell on, if your not fussed do what you like, Lucky strike's are too common, Sheene is cool but I've seen a few, but then I've seen Pepsi reps to. Do what you like most, but if it's non Suzuki rep or race rep next owner might be looking for something else.

I rather like the haslam colour scheme :D

I would suggest doing this for everyday use, then buy replacement standard colour panels as and when bargains crop up on ebay ...... then when it comes to sell you have the option of returning to standard and selling the haslam bdoywork as track-day kit 8)
