Chris Walker 2011

I meet Chris Walker up at the NEC on the norton stand and had a little chat with him about the 2011 sesion and he said that he is hopping the the deal with Kawasaki is going to be sorted or he just dig out the old suzuki again but she needs a rebuild after last time.

I hope he does get a good ride this year

any thoughts or coments ?

It'd be good to see the old boy still in the paddock, he does still occasionally turn up thos suprising results and it's always fun to see him being the 'stalker'

Yeah i agree, one of those nice guys who you like to see doing well because they deserve it after all the hard work they put in.

not his biggest fan im afraid, far too cocky and arrogant in his younger days for my liking. i loved seeing his old gsxr blow up at donny.

Personally i think hes had his day and he is embarrasing himself slightly with whats happened over the last 12 months, stick to the sales role with norton and move on

Great rider and ambassador for bike racing. Passionate about the sport to a level we will never know.

Looking forward to seeing him compete next year..........hopefully!

I'm a big Stalker fan - Deej, I don't know how you can be so cruel about that moment My heart really went out to him that day.

I do have a bit of a reservation though - with "old stagers" hanging around just to milk a pay-check, it reduces the opportunities for younger riders to break in ...... if he has a (competitive) bike already, why not dust it off and set up his own team with a younger rider and mentor him

he/crescent should never have left MCN test the bike the week before when they had no budget left to repair it should anything have happened to it, they got what they deserved in my eyes as they went off promoting what they thought was a title winning bike when it wasnt. I also knew of walker away from the track due my big sis and her position at Donington so saw a different CW to what you all see on tele and it wasnt nice.
PS dont forget im a ducati fan so loved seeing hodgson take the title (he deserved)

defiently agree with you on the final paragraph, he'd be better off setting up a team, the only problem is that from what ive seen him on a focused day hes not a great example of how to ride unlike say a mackenzie or crafar of the world, those two are silky smooth and look impressive, walker looks out of line on a TD so probably wouldnt be a great role model for a aspiring racer
