Coppers on the A30
Spotted unmarked cop vehicle at Redruth A30 junction, Dark Blue Range Rover. Don't know the reg. because they were on the other side of the road, but it had two uniformed cops checking out an abandoned car at the roadside.

Cut me in half and I'v got Suzuki written right through me!

Is it just me wondering if the five o really need range rovers? I saw a panda version of the brand new 2013 rangie the other day and I thought to myself, isn't that just a huge waste of tax payers money? What do they need a premium, luxury 4x4 for that costs upwards of £60k that a normal 4x4 can't do? Say a Nissan x-Trail (approx £26k). Maybe it is just me. Was just curious.

Usually heavily discounted, interior spec will be lower, fit for purpose, re-sell values, overall costs to run etc etc. A Nissan X trail would struggle on some of the jobs a RR will excel at.XWaysJames wrote:Is it just me wondering if the five o really need range rovers? Last time I rode up to Launceston to see my sister I must have passed half a dozen uniformed officers in unmarked cars.
Luckily I don't speed on the A30 as it is pretty much the only road they target.

You know what, as someone who goes up and down the length of that road at least once most weeks, I rarely see coppers on it - marked or otherwise ........ though thats probbably put the kiss of death to that now .....
