I often wonder why people worry about bike MOT's so much ..... surely with a bike, most of the things that are likely to cause a fail are immediately obvious when cleaning/maintaining - bearings, brakes, tyres, lights & horn ...... the one that I usually forget and resolve with a £1 purchase on the day is the rear reflector
Of all the things I have ever lost, I miss my mind the most .....

No grey area mate, they're illegal - construction & use regs apparently say indicators at the rear of the bike must be 280mm apart, spaced equally from the centre-line of the machine ...... just hope for an "understanding" tester ......

Intergrated rear lights are a failure as creates a major interferance with the rear light,
As for 4 leds a failure, in cars I know its 50% of the light so dont know how true this is,

And its a pass (with no advisories)! :D Rear brake pads are still the originals, and as he started to loosen the rear wheel I had terrible thoughts that the friction material might of become detached from the backing plates like they had when I removed the front wheel a few months ago. Luckily all still in one piece. Have to get some new ones soon though :)):
