Re: Muvvvwww MOT
I often wonder why people worry about bike MOT's so much ..... surely with a bike, most of the things that are likely to cause a fail are immediately obvious when cleaning/maintaining - bearings, brakes, tyres, lights & horn ...... the one that I usually forget and resolve with a £1 purchase on the day is the rear reflector
Of all the things I have ever lost, I miss my mind the most .....

No grey area mate, they're illegal - construction & use regs apparently say indicators at the rear of the bike must be 280mm apart, spaced equally from the centre-line of the machine ...... just hope for an "understanding" tester ......

Yeah heard on another forum New regulation has been sent out saying integrated rear lights are to be failed and led rear clusters must not have more than 4 lights out either
IT'S ONLY METAL HIT IT HARDER !!!!!!!
Re: Muvvvwww MOT
KTM's in for its 2nd MOT this morning aswell and a new rear hoop. Still haven't got around to fixing the number plate bulb from last year he mentioned (not that its a MOT requirement) Should pass no problems. Not sweating but then again its not a Triumph is it!!! ;)
Re: Muvvvwww MOT
Intergrated rear lights are a failure as creates a major interferance with the rear light,
As for 4 leds a failure, in cars I know its 50% of the light so dont know how true this is,

Re: Muvvvwww MOT
And its a pass (with no advisories)!
Rear brake pads are still the originals, and as he started to loosen the rear wheel I had terrible thoughts that the friction material might of become detached from the backing plates like they had when I removed the front wheel a few months ago. Luckily all still in one piece. Have to get some new ones soon though
