Hey folks! (Bournemouth)

Post by TJRawling »

Hi all,

My name's Tom and I'm moving to Bournemouth as of this Saturday (31/08/13).
I'm pretty new to biking; I bought my Hornet this summer (I bloody love it) and I've been out on a few long rides.
Just wanting to say hi to meet people who are up for rideouts and to ask if there are any regular local meets.
Can't wait to come down and get riding!

Cheers,
Tom

Hi Tom, welcome.
I'm another Tom (from near Beaminster) and should be getting my Hornet 600 next week.
Good bunch on this site. Good ride-outs are arranged for all abilities, keep checking back when you're settled in Dorset.

Hey Guys,

Great to hear that there's a group of us there!
I've not got much to compare mine to but I'm sure you'll love your new Hornet, Atomic!

Hi Gordon and Ollivc,
Sorry for the late response. I should be free this weekend if the weather's alright.
I don't suppose either of you are long-time locals? I'm new to the area and have no idea about routes.
Cheers,
Tom

Hi Gordon and Ollivc,
Sorry for the late response. I'm up for a ride this weekend if the weather's good.
Either of you fancy it?
Also, are either of you long-time locals? I've only just moved down here and don't know any routes!
Cheers,
Tom

During the summer months, you've got Monday nite at the Avon Causeway-Tuesday is Poole quay.
Dorset Nomads meet at Ferndown on Tuesday nites, friendly peeps and they meet all year round.
MAG meet twice a month at the Sea View in Parkstone, not sure off the top of me head which ones, but check out MAG web pages to find out.

I saw lon Chaney walking with the Queen, and they were doing the "werewolves of London"

Hi Tom
glad you found us on here, the New Forest has some sweet roads and then as you go further west it gets better.
Drop us a line when you're free I can show you some of the back roads....not so many plod.
Maybe if all you guys want to meet up some time say at the Causeway Hotel we could go play in the Forest

I can send you some google map routes if you want to do some exploring on your own.

Take care out there
Andy P.
It's good to have an end to journey towards but it's the journey that matters in the end.

Hi Andy,

That sounds great! Please do post a date for a ride-out sometime, the weather's against us at the moment and i'm only free every other weekend but luck could favour us. In the meantime some google maps routes would be awesome if you don't mind thanks!

Cheers,
Tom
