Forum rules
You are of course welcome along to any Southwestbikers rideout, however your bike must be in good mechanical order (we don’t want anything falling off of it including you), taxed and have a current MOT. You must have a valid motorcycle licence and current motor insurance. You are in charge of your motorcycle at all times and SWB will not accept any responsibility for actions you take or any accidents you may have. Always ride within your own capabilities and do not put others at risk. Remember, while you are on a Southwestbikers rideout you are representing the site and what it stands for.
Thank-you.

Don't forget......ANYONE can organise and run a rideout.

I Had the carbs out last year. new injectors fitted. and cleaned the carb body's at the same time. also had the carbs balanced. replaced the radiator.

may need a new fuel filter .
Think the air filter could also do with being cleaned again.

The bike seems to overheat in traffic. revs drop and cuts out. when on open road its fine.
I was thinking it might be the oil & water cooler.

just to add .
The ride up there was great. loads of twisty roads and a phew good straits .
The people there were great and the service was outstanding'
loads of bikes of all ages.

bad point was the 5 speed traps I went through. some great roads lost.
cant wait to do it again.
hopefully not on my own.

Got to say your not the only one to have problems in traffic. Mine is fine when on the open road and is more then happy at track speed but put it in traffic for more then a minute and the engine starts to boil. My cooling fan does not kick in until 110 degree but if it goes anything higher then 90 the engine runs like a bag of nails until it has been turned off and cooled down to ambient temperature.

By the way loving your vampire avatar 8)

110° seems rather high? You could always install a manual fan switch

On the MV the ECU was re-programmed to cut the fan in at 94° instead of 98°, and that's made a massive difference 8)
