Versys is a nice bike but seems very tall. More a psychological problem as she is average height. I might try to convince her to get a SV as then I can borrow it occasionally;-)

ive got a bike for sale for £1000.
full year mot.
well maintained but scruffy..(matt black) so no worrying about wee scratches...
satnav holder,
corners lovely,
cruises at 90mph,
does 135mph,
100bhp,
comfortable riding position,
rode it 485 miles to scotland in one day.
takes tent,sleeping bags,cider,
great as a first (big ) bike for a newcomer.
cheap to tax and insure,
great all round tourer, commuter or scratcher...

yep...you guessed it......
its a zzr... :)):
work hard....
play harder.

triumph st1050, prob pick up a 2008 for about 3000. Good fuel economy -mine averaged 48mpg an i sure wasnt timid on the throttle. comfortabe enouth with loads of pannier and bag options. Still plenty of performace - it is really a sports tourer but my god what a bike./ Lovely grunt from low down,. 3 cylinder is way to go. miss mine already. Won't be as comfortable as a gs1200 but was comfortable for me and wife to go down to france and i'm 6ft 5. I think a 600/650 may be a little undergunned and in 12 months time you will want to swap.
